Monocle Fractional Yachts divides the price of a yacht into 10 fractional shares and each buyer may purchase as many shares as they would like. The annual operating costs of each yacht are split among the small group of owners and these costs are handled at true cost to the owners. Most yachts have very few owners with many owners buying multiple shares ... you can own as many yacht fractions as suits your needs or you own a single yacht fraction. If you want to be a very part time yacht owner, it is sometimes even possible to buy half a fraction of a yacht. Realize, these are not boats these are mega yachts or small cruise ships, it makes sense for multiple partners to own one of these luxury yachts. The LLC that owns each yacht then hires Monocle Management to handle the day to day operations of the yacht such as hiring crew, managing crew, routine maintenance, global re-positioning, accounting, maintaining the schedule for the owners and overseeing all aspects of purchasing supplies and parts.

Some people might refer to this a yacht timeshare, but instead of a time share you are the owner of an LLC. As an owner of the LLC that owns the yacht are free to sell your share at any time so you are not locked into long term agreements with a limited exit strategy. You may sell your share yourself, through us, through a yacht broker or can be used as a source of income through our charter division. Monocle will handle the entire process for the fractional owner.

Each yacht operates 40 weeks out of the year with 12 weeks set aside for maintenance, down-time, time off for crew, re-positioning, or weather related issues. Since the yachts have very few owners, the scheduling becomes very easy and flexible to manage.
